PSAC members, along with the New Westminster & District Labour Council and the Kwantlen Students Association, helped organize a candlelight vigil at Holland Park on December 6th, the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Many thanks to Warren Wulff, West Fraser Valley Area Council, for the photos.

PSAC members rallied at Harbour Centre in Vancouver on December 13 2017, calling on the government to take the measures necessary to ensure workers are paid correctly and on time. Members sang a few Christmas Carols (Jingle bells, Phoenix smells!) and heard from members who have been directly affected by problems with the pay system.

Members of the Customs and Immigration Union and the Public Service Alliance of Canada demonstrated at the Peace Arch border crossing in support of ongoing national bargaining efforts toward a new collective agreement for members of the FB group on Thursday December 14.

Over forty PSAC sisters attended the Vancouver Regional Women’s Committee International Women’s Day celebration and meeting in Vancouver, March 8th. Participants heard short presentations from Janet Routledge, NDP candidate in North Burnaby and former PSAC staff member; Joanne Hay, Union of Postal Communications Employees National Executive Officer; and Jennifer Chieh Ho and Kelly Sidhu, PSAC BC Regional Council members. They all spoke about the solidarity and support they get from fellow PSAC members every day, and how much it helps in their work with our union.

Over thirty PSAC members from across BC met in Vancouver last weekend at the 2016 PSAC B.C. Regional Conference for Young Workers. The conference provided participants with an opportunity to learn more about our union and hear from and share experiences with those in leadership positions within PSAC and other unions as well as in community and social justice organizations. The participants also took workshops designed to give them the skills and tools to help them organize their peers to effect positive change inside and outside of PSAC.

PSAC members from across the province gathered in Vancouver, September 23-25, at our 2016 Regional Women's Conference. Sisters came together to discuss ways to strengthen the PSAC women’s program at the regional level, discussed the impact of domestic violence in our communities and our workplaces, identified ways to support PSAC's pan-Canadian campaign on childcare, and mobilized to create social change.

PSAC members who work within Treasury Board, Parks Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, joined by colleagues in CAPE and PIPSC, took part in actions in cities across British Columbia on June 8th 2016.
