Political Action

Our union, along with concerned Canadians in communities across the country, has been working hard to save public services and protect jobs. We are all affected by cuts to services, and we must all take action to defend the public services PSAC members provide to Canadians.

This section contains news and information about PSAC's political action program in British Columbia. Visit the national website for background and more information on our campaigns.

National Public Service Week will be held from June 9 to 15, 2013.  This event marks the importance of federal public service employees and recognizes their service to Canadian society.  We find it an insult to our members and to our union that the employer promotes this event while the government of Canada continues its assault on federal public services and public service delivery.  Our members have received and continue to receive affected/surplus notices, and are being offered a piece of cake and a cup of coffee to wash it down.
