Friends,
Labour Day at Jack Poole Plaza (adjacent to Waterfront Station) in downtown Vancouver is just around the corner. We will have a PSAC booth with information on what our members do, Phoenix, bargaining, and the federal election. Our interactive feature will be the Phoenix Wheel of Misfortuneâ„¢ which is a spinning prize wheel featuring things that happen to us every pay day and of course we’ll have some swag items to give out. The event is open to the public from 12-5 PM and will feature a live band, kids entertainment (bouncy castle!), and some other fun activities for all ages.
We’re in need of volunteers to help staff our booth for 2 hour shifts on Labour Day (Sep 2) from 12:30-2:30, 2:30-4:30, and 4:30-6 or 6:30 (depending how long tear down takes). We will also have a PSAC staff person on site who will be able to assist where needed. Please contact Todd at SmithT@psac-afpc.com if you’re able to help us out for a couple hours.
In solidarity,
Todd Smith
