PSAC BC women – we need your input!

Thanks to all of the PSAC BC women members who took part in our regional Kitchen Table Talks during Women’s History Month!

You joined us to help find your way in the union, had real talk around work life balance (including union involvement), shared strategies on how to say no in the spirit of self-care, and ended with a celebration in sisterhood!

Many loved the opportunity to network and the more informal nature of the talks.

Tracy Arrowsmith was the lucky draw winner from all those who attended and she chose the Phoenix Transition House in Prince George to receive $200 of PSAC BC’s support!

We were small but mighty groups of women at each session and some of you have reached out wanting more in 2022.

With that in mind we need to ask

  • Do you want more Kitchen Table Talks in 2022?
  • If so, when and how often? (Monthly, quarterly, lunch hour, evenings, weekdays, weeknights, etc.)
  • What topics would you want us to tackle this time or again?

Please email Monica Urrutia with your thoughts on the Kitchen Table Talks or anything else related to our Regional Women’s Committees.

In the meanwhile, we hope you thoroughly enjoyed the holiday season with your loved ones and we look forward to seeing you in 2022.

In Sisterhood,

Karen Sutton, Lea Serron, and Nielene Chand (PSAC BC Women’s Coordinator, 1st Alternate, and 3rd Alternate).
