2022 PSAC B.C. Treasury Board Regional Mobilization Summit
“Speak up, Speak out in Support of Your Bargaining Demands!”
The 2022 PSAC BC Treasury Board Regional Mobilization Summit takes place Friday June 17, 2022, 9 AM – 4:30 PM at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel, 7551 Westminster Highway, Richmond. This will be an in person event, please see below for information on PSAC’s vaccination policy.
By the end of this Summit, participants will:
- Be familiar with and have confidence in taking action in the virtual world (Ulink, peer-to-peer texting, calling action tools, social media, virtual mapping)
- Have participated in building and testing regional strike structures and identified themselves and their co-workers as potential picket captains
- Know how to have hard one-on-one conversations about going on strike
- Have brainstormed and planned what a strike looks like during a pandemic for members’ workplaces
PSAC B.C. Region EB, PA, SV, and TC members will gather under the theme, “Speak up, Speak out in Support of Your Bargaining Demands!”
Summit participants will hear from PSAC National and Regional leaders and have the opportunity to interact with some of the bargaining team members.
In addition, participants will take part in one of four workshops on the main themes for this round of bargaining: equity in the workplace; work / life balance; protecting the public service; and fair wages.
Most importantly, workshops around having hard conversations about the possibility of strike, what striking looks like during a pandemic, and firming up our strike structures in preparation, will also take place.
