From March 27 through 29, 2026 PSAC BC members attended the second regional 2SLGBTQIA+ Summit in Vancouver.
PSAC BC members gathered to meet, build, encourage, and show solidarity across the PSAC 2SLGBTQIA+ community in BC under the theme “Visibly Queer (We’re Here)”. The Summit was designed to build on the work of the inaugural 2SLGBTQIA+ Summit in 2024, allowing participants to consider the ongoing challenges facing the Queer and Trans Community.
Delegates heard from engaging speakers and took part in thought-provoking workshops. The first workshop focused on Trans and gender diverse communities and their rights in the context of increased transphobic messaging in public discourse. The second workshop focused on the importance of storytelling in building understanding and solidarity.
