Summit Objectives
PSAC BC 2SLGBTQIA+ members will gather to meet, build, encourage, and show solidarity across the PSAC 2SLGBTQIA+ community in BC under the theme “Visibly Queer (We’re Here)”.
The objectives of the 2026 PSAC BC 2SLGBTQIA+ Summit are:
- Resisting the erasure, minimization, and fragmentation of queer identities – affirming the full breadth of who we are;
- Recognizing and advancing queer identities within employment equity frameworks, ensuring representation and inclusion in all spaces; and
- Ensuring our union remains a steadfast and enduring ally to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, upholding our social justice mandate through action and accountability.
The Summit Organizing Committee is working hard on inviting engaging speakers, offering relevant and action-oriented workshops and other additional activities. We hope to share this information as it is confirmed during the weeks of the application process.
