We are pleased to inform members that the 2026 PSAC BC Treasury Board Mobilization Summit will be held in person from Friday, April 17 through Saturday, April 18, 2026.
All delegates are expected to attend the full Summit.
More information about travel and loss of salary will be available as part of the full delegate’s package, which you will receive on confirmation of registration.
We encourage you to personally inform PSAC Treasury Board members in your area to ensure they are made aware of this Summit. In workplaces where members continue to work from home, please share with your contacts or ask to post the information on the Union’s electronic bulletin board (if there is one at your workplace).
Summit Objectives
PSAC BC Treasury Board members will gather to meet, learn together, and show solidarity across the BC Region.
By the end of the Summit, participants will:
- Strengthen understanding of collective action and worker-to-worker solidarity.
- Build strategic awareness of escalation aligned with bargaining milestones.
- Develop practical organizing skills, with a focus on workplace mapping to be taken back to locals/ branches for completion.
- Strengthen leadership capacity and peer networks to support long-term mobilization.
The objectivees reflect national mobilization guidance and support the development of a membership capable of sustaining pressure throughout bargaining.
We hope to invite engaging spakers, offer relevant and action-oriented workshops, and other additional activities.
Summit Information
The Summit will begin Friday, April 17, 2026 at 12:00 PM Pacific at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Hotel with registration taking place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Summit will recess for the day at 5:00 PM.
The Summit will resume Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 9:00 AM and will adjourn at 5:00 PM Pacific.
Delegates who reside within 60 kilometres of the venue:
- Will be entitled to claim loss of salary for Friday (and Saturday if normally scheduled to work). There will be no overtime compensation;
- Delegates will be entitled to claim the following:
- Friday: Ground transportation (mileaege or public transportation costs) and self-parking costs, if incurred
- Saturday: Delegates will be eligible to claim a $50 per day allowance (or actual cost if higher) to cover the cost of travel (including self-parking) and meals;
- Hotel accommodation will not be provided.
Delegates who reside more than 60 kilometres from the venue will be considered as in travel status, which means the following costs will be covered:
- Will be entitled to salary for Friday (and Saturday if normally scheduled to work). There will be no overtime compensation;
- Travel costs, including ground transportation;
- Meal and incidental allowances (except those provided) as per the PSAC Travel Policy;
- Hotel accommodation costs at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Hotel;
- Hotel self-parking. Delegates must register their vehicle license plate with the hotel.
Accommodation for disabilities
The PSAC Accommodation Policy strives to ensure that PSAC events are barrier-free for members with disabilities. Members are asked to specify their accommodation needs to facilitate their participation at the PSAC BC Treasury Board Mobilization Summit on the delegate application form.
Family care
The objective of the PSAC Family Care Policy is to remove one of the barriers which prevents participants from attending Union activities and which provides for the reimbursement of family care expenses. A copy of the policy is available on the PSAC website here.
On-site childcare is intended to remove a barrier to a participant’s ability to attend at the Summit and is provided only for those who could not otherwise attend, had the service not been available. Requests must be identified within the application and will be confirmed if selected as a delegate.
PSAC policies: Anti-Harassment and Environmental Sensitivities
During the Summit, and at all events associated with the Summit, the PSAC Anti-Harassment and Environmental Sensitivities policies will be in effect. Please refrain from using scented products of any type.

Selection of Delegates
- Delegates must be Treasury Board members in good standing from the EB, PA, SV, or TC units;
- At least one representative per Local/Branch with TB members; and
- If multiple applications are received from Local/Branches, the Executive may be contacted to assist in choosing a representative. Selection parameters of the Local/Branch are encouraged to have an equity lens.
If you are selected as a delegate to this Summit, you will be advised by email and/or telephone call. Please ensure you provide us with your contact information that you will have access to during the months of February, March and April 2026.
