District Labour Councils across BC are sponsoring Labour Day picnics and celebrations in communities throughout the province. We hope PSAC BC members will come out and celebrate with them. PSAC BC Area Councils will be hosting tables at many of these events.

Burnaby

We’re excited to be at the Metro Vancouver Labour Day Celebration this year, with the Vancouver and District and the New Westminster & District Labour Councils! Join us in Edmonds Park on Monday, September 1nd between 11:00am and 2:30pm for a free, fun, family friendly celebration. There will be exciting speakers, bouncy castles, games and entertainment for kids, live music, food, union and community organization booths, and more!

Abbotsford

This event is free and open to all ages with activities for children, food, prizes and giveaways! All are welcome to celebrate labour day with local unions and working people from the Fraser Valley. PSAC BC East Fraser Valley Area Council will be there handing out swag and other treats!

Join the PSAC BC Island members at this family-friendly event with live music, children’s activities, food and more! The PSAC Victoria Area Council will be onsite, handing out swag and connecting with members.
The PSAC Victoria Area Council is also hosting a booth at the Saanich Fair over the Labour Day weekend. Drop by and say hello and consider volunteering to help staff our booth.
Prince George

Join the Northeast BC Area Council and Northern RWC at the Prince George Labour Day march and celebration! Hosted by the North Central District Labour Council, this event is free and open to all ages. The march will begin at 10:30 AM, proceeding from the Canada Games Plaza through downtown PG. Afterward, come back to the Plaza for some great music, food, booths and activities for kids.
Kelowna
