Make Your Voice Heard: Lobbying 101

Friday, July 10

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

HYBRID: PSAC Vancouver Regional Office (200 - 5238 Joyce Street, Vancouver, BC) and via Zoom

Want to learn how to turn your voice into real political action?

The Mainland Haida-Gwaii Young Workers Committee (”MHGYWC”) is to proud to host Make Your Voice Heard: Lobbying 101. This is a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to effectively lobby your Member of Parliament (MP) and advocate for the issues that matter to you.

Lobbying is one of the most powerful tools we have to create change. Whether we’re fighting for better working conditions and remote work flexibility, better labour laws, or creating a more just society for everyone, elected officials need to hear directly from the people their decisions affect.

All PSAC BC Young Workers are welcome to attend this hybrid workshop. Join us on Friday, July 10 from 6 to 7 PM PT at the PSAC Vancouver Regional Office or via Zoom to learn practical lobbying skills, persuasive communication techniques, and insider tips that will help you advocate with confidence.

Attendees can expect to learn:

  • How to schedule a meeting with you MP
  • How to prepare for a meeting
  • How to press for commitment/action
  • Practice, practice, practice!

Attendees are encouraged to identify their MP in advance for the event.

Register to attend this workshop and let us know you’ll be there!

PS: You can join the PSAC Young Workers Discord here, and the PSAC-BC WhatsApp group here!
