The morning of Day Three of the PSAC B.C. Regional Triennial Convention was filled with excitement as plenary elections got underway: Delegates re-elected Jamey Mills as Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP). Trish Martin, Kaj Stirler, and Tracy Arrowsmith were then acclaimed as Alternate REVP, 2nd Alternate REVP, and Health and Safety Coordinator respectively. Delegate then proceeded to their Geographic Coordinator elections before recessing for lunch.
After lunch, the General Resolutions Committee was called back up to speak to the resolutions that were referred back with instructions and some additional priority resolutions. After debate on the floor the following resolutions were adopted:
- GEN-49 (2nd and 3rd BIR) – Expanding Mental Health Access Through Nurse Practitioners and Prescription Renewal Reform in British Columbia
- GEN-50 (2nd and 3rd BIR) – Expanding Prescription Renewal in British Columbia
- GEN-41 – Access to Support for Workers’ Compensation Claims
- GEN-45 – Tax Credit for Transit Users
- GEN-23A – Pension Education
Before the newly elected BC Regional Council and Alternates were sworn in by National President Sharon DeSousa, the Finance Committee presented their committee resolutions report, and the following resolutions were adopted:
- FIN-02 – Increase Regional Education Budgets by 20 percent
- FIN-03 – Adding Additional Funding for the Building Solidarity With Indigenous Communities Course

Convention closed in a good way with an Indigenous closing from Elder Shirley Alphonse of the Cowichan First Nation and Elder Clarence “Butch” Dick of the Songhees First Nation. To conclude the day, the lək̓ʷəŋən Dance Group also performed for attendees, offering a powerful reminder that the lands on which the Convention took place hold deep histories, living cultures, and enduring connections.
