About David Lewis

A 30-year union activist, David Lewis, CIU Local 20042, is your PSAC BC Northwestern BC Coordinator and the Northwest Area Council President. David first got involved with the union in the mid 1990’s when he became a Steward. He then engaged with the Northwest Area Council in early 2007 after transferring to Prince Rupert. His years of service were honoured in 2025 when he received the PSAC BC Emerging Activist Award recognizing his dedication to the Northwest Area Council.

David is passionate about ensuring members have the information and resources they need to understand their rights. In his role as Northwestern BC Coordinator, David will continue increasing community engagement and working through geographic challenges to get more remote members involved.

In his spare time, David enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and smoking or curing meats.
