PSAC BC is proud to once again sponsor two members from BC to attend the National Black Canadians Summit, taking place at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba from September 18-20, 2026.
Organized by the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, the Summit’s theme is “Moving Forward Together” and will feature speakers, workshops, and plenary meetings designed to empower leaders and address issues impacting the Black community in Canada. The voices and experiences of labour union activists are vital to these discussions.
The Summit provides an opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and explore how we can advance equity and justice in our workplaces, our union, and our communities. We encourage members who are passionate about advancing equity, building stronger communities, and sharing what they learn with others to apply.
Selected delegates will represent PSAC BC, participate in important conversations affecting Black communities across Canada, and bring what they learn back to strengthen our union and support members throughout the region.
