Bargaining update for members working at BWXT in Vancouver

The bargaining team met with the employer from June 22 to 26. During these dates, both parties exchanged their non-monetary proposals and engaged in productive discussions on the respective priorities.

The employer appears to be focused on supporting the expansion of production. At the same time, the union’s bargaining team team remains firmly committed to protecting members’ work-life balance, preserving workers’ rights, and ensuring that any changes are fair and reasonable.

While there is still significant work ahead, the union’s bargaining team will continue advocating for a fair collective agreement that reflects member priorities and protects member interests.

The teams are planning to meet again in early November 2026. Stay tuned for further bargaining updates.
