About Chad Duggan
Chad Duggan (he/him) is one of two PSAC BC South Vancouver Island Coordinators and is the Social Media Coordinator for UCTE Local 20220. He believes that strong union representation truly makes a difference in people’s lives and is driven to give a voice to those who feel they can’t speak up themselves.
Chad’s journey with PSAC began at home. His father served as President of his local for much of his 35-year career, and Chad grew up watching him fight for better working conditions, support his members, and stand up for what was right. Those early lessons in solidarity and courage shaped who Chad is today.
As a South Vancouver Island Coordinator, Chad is excited to fight for fair treatment, better working conditions, and dignity on the job. He hopes to strengthen communication between members and union leadership as well as increase member engagement through regular updates, training opportunities, and accessible events. He will also amplify the voices of underrepresented members and ensure South Vancouver Island workers feel supported in their workplaces. By fostering greater transparency and participation, Chad believes we can build a stronger, more united community ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
In his spare time, Chad loves travelling the world and experiencing new cultures. He also enjoys bringing people together through good food, laughter, and love. Whether it’s hosting family gatherings, cooking for friends, or organizing community get-togethers, these activities keep Chad grounded, re-energized, and remind him of the importance of connection and joy in both personal life and union work.
