CLC Convention 2014 – Selection of PSAC Equity Delegates – Application for consideration

Dear PSAC Equity members:

The CLC Convention is being held from May 5-9, 2014 at the Palais des congrès in Montréal.  As in previous years, the PSAC will be fully funding up to ten delegates to represent PSAC’s five equity groups:  women, Aboriginal peoples, racially visible peoples, persons with disabilities and members of the LGBT communities.

In order to be considered for selection as an equity delegate to the CLC Convention representing the PSAC, you will need to self-identify as a member of one of the equity groups, and hold a union position within the PSAC.  You will need to be available for the full duration of the CLC Convention, including the PSAC caucus held on Sunday May 4 prior to the official start of the CLC Convention.  You will also be expected to attend the CLC equity caucuses and forums, which are held outside official Convention hours, and to write a final report on the CLC Convention to the constituencies within the PSAC which you represent.

The final selection of the equity delegates to the CLC Convention will be made by the Alliance Executive Committee at their March 17-18 meeting.

Please fill in the attached form (.pdf and .doc versions below) and send it by email to me bensonr@psac.com with a cc to your PSAC Regional Executive Vice President no later than March 12, 2014.  Your responses to the questions will be considered in the final selection of the equity delegates representing the PSAC.

In Solidarity, Robyn Benson, PSAC National President
