Skills Training for Stewards (4 Days)

If you are a PSAC Steward looking to develop your skills for organizing, representing and advocating for PSAC members? Do you have some experience representing members with management and you want to improve and practice your representational skills? Then this Skills Training for Stewards is for you!

In this course you will have an opportunity to meet with other Stewards and learn, unlearn and relearn skills that will increase your confidence when navigating issues in the workplace.

Pre-requisites:

  • Talking Union Basics (TUB) or Introduction to the PSAC for Indigenous Members (IUIM) course or equivalent, AND
  • PSAC Grievance Handling (GH) course, AND
  • Experience representing members with management

Course Prerequisites

Applicants to the Skills Training for Stewards course must have taken the for the following courses to be considered: (1) Talking Union Basics (TUB) course or Introduction to PSAC for Indigenous Members (IUIM); (2) Grievance Handling (GH). Additionally, applicants must have experience representing members with management.
