About Damian Dorschner
Damian Dorschner (he/him) is a proud member of the Union of Veterans Affairs Employees (UVAE), sits on the PSAC BC Regional Council as your Northeastern BC Coordinator, and is the Treasurer on the Northeast Area Council. A dedicated union activist, Damian received the Emerging Activist Award in 2025 for his increasing leadership and dedication to justice for workers. At the local level, Damian is UVAE Local 20035 President, a role he’s held since 2021, and Alternate Regional Vice-President for the Western Region.
Damian is strongly motivated by the hard work of union activists, past and present, who have made significant gains for workers’ rights. He believes we must fight to keep those rights, make even more gains, and stand up against the rise of hate speech and action.
During his 2026-2029 term as Northeastern BC Coordinator, Damian will continue connecting with members and visiting areas of the Northeast BC Region. In his previous term, Damian enjoyed connecting with members at the Parks Canada Fort St. James Historical Site and the local May Day and Labour Day events in Prince George.
Damian is a dad to an awesome 10-year-old boy, a trained vocalist, and an avid walker.
