Expression of Interest – Organizing Committee for the 2024 PSAC BC Health & Safety Conference

Soliciting Volunteers for the PSAC BC 2024 Health & Safety Conference Organizing Committee

PSAC BC is excited to announce the upcoming BC Regional Health and Safety Conference, taking place October 18-20, 2024 in Vancouver. We are looking for dedicated PSAC BC members to join the conference planning committee. If you are passionate about health and safety and want to contribute to this exciting and meaningful event, we need you!

The organizing committee will help determine the format, theme, and content of the conference, and make recommendations to the Regional Executive Vice-President.

Join us if you:

  • Want to bring fresh ideas for conference themes, sessions, and activities that will engage and benefit PSAC members;
  • Enjoy event planning and coordination; and
  • Want to connect with other BRUSH Committee members.

Please note – Sitting on the organizing committee will involve a significant time commitment over the coming months, which will include evening meetings. Committee members will be expected to consult regularly with other conference organizers, make recommendations and conduct research.

We anticipate selecting four members in good standing to sit on this committee.

If you are interested in being a member of the organizing committee, please respond with the following information in as much detail as possible:

  1. Your name and contact information (phone number and personal email address)
  2. Your PSAC Component and Local number
  3. The union position(s) you hold in your Local, Component and/or with PSAC
  4. Your activities in health and safety at work
  5. The reason(s) you are interested in being a part of the PSAC BC Health and Safety Conference organizing committee; and
  6. Any additional information you feel is relevant to your application
