The Joint Learning Program, British Columbia-Yukon Territory Region, is currently seeking candidates to join our dynamic team of facilitators committed to building relationships and making a positive impact in the federal public service. We are specifically looking for applicants who are committed to being leaders in their workplace, regardless of their position, and to bringing people together, celebrating differences and diversity, practicing inclusiveness, and increasing learning and understanding.
The Joint Learning Program (JLP) is a partnership between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat to improve labour relations and workplaces. We achieve our objectives by providing interactive and engaging learning opportunities where participants can share and discuss lived experiences in workshops and online sessions.
To be considered to join our team, you must reside in British Columbia or the Yukon Territory and be employed by a department within the core public administration.
Union Facilitator applicants should be an elected union representative or activist who regularly participates in union activities OR be willing to take a PSAC Talking Union Basics course. Candidates must have the support of a representative from their union to be considered.
Employer Facilitator applicants should have experience in a management or supervisory role and/or be able to credibly present management views on workplace issues.
All applicants must have the support of their immediate supervisor/manager.
Facilitators selected to join our team will be asked to facilitate virtual sessions as well as in-person workshops when we are able to safely return to in-person events.
Selected candidates to become facilitators will be required to attend a Virtual Facilitator Orientation Session held via videoconference.
Our next upcoming five-day Virtual Orientation Session is scheduled from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on February 14th, 16th, 18th, 22nd and 24th, 2022. We also have another Orientation Session scheduled from May 2nd-6th, 2022. All applications will be considered for these two sessions as seats remain available. Applicants will also be considered for additional Orientation sessions following these dates.
