Members at Victoria Airport have a new collective agreement

PSAC BC is happy to announce that a new collective agreement has been ratified by members of Local 20209 working at Victoria Airport.

The new contract, which expires March 2025, contains a wage increase that recognizes the value of the work members perform at YYJ, improved vacation entitlements and overtime provisions, expansion of the family related leave language, a letter of understanding regarding casual employees, and the introduction of leave for Indigenous traditional practices and leave for workers experiencing domestic violence.

The YYJ Bargaining Team, comprised of Andy Hughes, Karen Funk, Jay Krieger, Barry Tchir, and Erna Post thank members of Local 20209 for their support and solidarity throughout this round of bargaining. Your solidarity makes us stronger!

Approximately 35 members of Local 20209 employed by the Airport Authority provide key services such as emergency response, customer care, runway maintenance, and administrative services at Victoria Airport.
