We are pleased to announce that the 2024 PSAC BC Regional Health and Safety Conference will be held at the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront in Vancouver from October 18 through October 20, 2024. This will be the first in-person BC Regional Health and Safety Conference since 2018 (as the 2021 conference was held virtually).
The Conference is scheduled for Friday, October 18 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, Saturday, October 19 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and on Sunday, October 20 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
The theme for this conference is: Together for Safety: Creating Healthier Workplaces, Building Better Lives
The Conference will create a forum for Health and Safety activists to reflect, discuss and take action to improve our workplaces by raising awareness and preventing injuries and occupational diseases. Additional topics, workshops and speakers to be announced soon! PSAC BC members in good standing may apply to be delegates to this Conference.
The application deadline is Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:59 PM Pacific. You can apply using the online form available here. Delegates will be reimbursed for loss of salary and/or provided with union leave with pay authorization for the days delegates would normally be scheudled to work during the Conference. There will be no overtime compensation.
If you are selected as a delegate for the Conference, you will be advised by email and/or telephone.
