Bargaining Info Meetings
We are scheduling a series of meetings throughout the province – we will provide an update on the current round of bargaining with Treasury Board and answer any questions members may have about the bargaining process. Bob Jackson explains in the video below …
Boycott public service week: Don’t celebrate service cuts and attacks on our rights – read more at the regional website.
PSAC Scholarships – PSAC is now accepting applications for the 17 scholarships it offers to PSAC members and their children. Details at the national website.
Performance Management – In May 2013, the President of the Treasury Board, Tony Clement, created a media stir when he announced new “performance management” policies for the federal public service. A new policy was officially implemented on April 1, 2014. The PSAC is working to ensure that this tool is not used in an abusive manner or as a deceitful means to increase the dismissal rate of public service employees. We expect the new program to be fair, open and transparent, to be applied equally to all members of the public service. More at the national website.
Tools for members
Information for Members on the Performance Management Initiative: A Local Perspective – The Union of Environment Workers Local 70713 recently put together some information for their members around the new Performance Management Program. This information is geared for TB members, but applies equally to all federal government workers.
