** Strike votes and union events have been suspended until further notice: please read this important message regarding PSAC’s response to the COVID-19 situation **
PSAC members working at CRA are undertaking a strike vote and the Treasury Board vote begins the week of March 16. PSAC has scheduled Strike Mobilization and Preparedness Training for members in all federal government bargaining units.
After taking this training, members will
- Have an understanding of the current status of bargaining, and why you may go on strike
- Define the different ways strikes are conducted and why
- Anticipate and be able to respond to challenges should a strike occur
- Be aware of your role and the roles of other strike participants
The training will be provided in two formats:
- Full Day Strike Mobilization and Preparedness Training for Local executive members and PSAC activists who will take leadership roles in the strike structure
- Half Day Strike Mobilization and Preparedness Training for members who wish to learn more about the strike process and what to expect
Here is the schedule for mainland British Columbia. We are working on the Vancouver Island schedule and will post it soon. We will also be scheduling webinars designed for members in areas outside the designated locations or in remote worksites.
