Subsidy for Racially Visible members to attend BC Fed Union Renewal Conference and HR Diversity Forum

As you may be aware the BC Federation of Labour Union Renewal Conference is taking place this November 16-18 with the Human Rights Diversity Forum taking place on Sunday, November 15. The Human Rights Diversity Forum is a free event; however, pre-registration is required. The Forum and Conference are being held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver. For more details on the Conference and the Forum, please visit the BC Fed website.

If you’re are planning to attend the Forum and the Conference, we’d like to let you know that a $300 subsidy has been made available for a self-identified PSAC Racially Visible member to assist them with conference costs. If you are interested in applying for the subsidy, please provide us with the following information via email to SchnidK@psac.com by Friday, October 9.
 
1. Send us your name, PSAC ID, email, and contact info
2. Give us a brief rundown of your anticipated costs, other sources of funding that you have already applied for, and monies already granted if applicable
3. Tell us in brief why it is important for you as a racially visible members to attend this event
4. Explain how you will use this experience to help raise the profile of PSAC racially visible members in your workplace, union, and/or community

Please note: only one subsidy is available and the subsidy recipient will be required to provide a short report/evaluation of your participation at the BC Fed Union Renewal Conference within 4 weeks following the conference.The early bird registration deadline for the BC Federation of Labour Union Renewal Conference is October 17. Regular registration closes November 6th.
