As a result of discussions and agreement at the October 2025 meeting on the PSAC National Board of Directors, an update has been issued by PSAC President Sharon DeSousa regarding the resolution word limit for resolutions to PSAC Conventions, which includes the 2026 PSAC B.C. Regional Triennial Convention. A copy of this update is linked below.
As a result of this update, all resolutions submitted in English for the 2026 PSAC B.C. Regional Triennial Convention are limited to 150 words. All resolutions submitted in French to the 2026 PSAC B.C. Regional Triennial Convention are limited to 165 words. The word limits include the “Whereas” and “Be It Resolved” portions of the resolution (or clear language equivalent) but will not include the title of the resolution.
Please note: Any proposed language change to the Constitution or PSAC B.C. Regional By-Laws included in the resolution will not be part of the word count.
The deadline to submit resolutions to the PSAC B.C. Regional Triennial Convention is February 20, 2026 at 4 PM Pacific. Additional details are posted here.
