Summer Institute for Union Women

Sunday, June 22 - Thursday, June 26

Hours of Session TBA -

SFU Burnaby Campus

The Summer Institute for Union Women (SIUW) is an opportunity for women activists in unions across BC and the western United States to build networks and develop their leadership and organizing skills.

SIUW is a comprehensive leadership institute with skills-building workshops, cultural activities and education sessions designed to expand our understanding of solidarity and rebuild connections across our region. This event is for all cis and trans women, non-binary, queer, questioning, and those who are comfortable in a space that centers women’s issues, experiences and identities.

The registration page can be found here: https://siuw2025.bcfed.ca/registration

PSAC BC Education will be offering 4 subsidises of up to $1,300 to cover the registration costs for PSAC members that have applied for the SIUW. We invite members who are registering for the SIUW to apply for one of these subsidises to offset the registration fees. Additional information and the subsidy application form are available here.

Please note – this event is independent of the PSAC.
