Friends,
We are pleased to announce that the 2025 PSAC BC Regional Women’s Conference will be held at the Hilton Metrotown Vancouver in Burnaby from Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6, 2025. This conference is a fully funded event for delegates.
The conference is scheduled for Friday, April 4 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Saturday, April 5 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Sunday, April 6 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. All participants are expected to attend the full conference.
PSAC BC women members will gather to learn, share, and strengthen the PSAC Women’s program under the conference theme Women’s Rights in 2025: Flourishing or Flatlining or Floundering.
The objectives of the 2025 PSAC BC Regional Women’s Conference are to:
- Analyze the progress that has been made in terms of women’s rights in Canada;
- Understand the threats to women’s rights in light of the surge of far-right politics internationally; and
- Provide practical advice on how to continue to advocate for intersectional women’s rights.
Conference delegates will take part in training and advocacy development and hear from women’s rights advocates. Additionally, the Conference Organizing Committee has planned several other activities and sessions for the duration of the Conference.
